WINTERVILLE�Pitt Community College stopped a two-game losing streak Wednesday with an 83-75 victory over Rockingham Community College. On a night in which the baskets weren�t dropping with ease for the Bulldogs, Coach Chad Reynolds felt his team was �very lucky to get a much-needed win.� Led by Adonte McCarter�s 16 points, Pitt placed a trio of players in double figures scoring. Johnny Godette had 15 points for the Dawgs while David Pittman chipped in with 14. With the win, PCC improved to 8-10 overall and 5-10 in Region X Conference play after having to forfeit six wins last week. Next up for the Bulldogs is Johnston Community College on Saturday in what will be their final regular-season game. Tip-off in the Charles Coburn Center is set for 3 p.m. The last time Pitt squared off with JCC, the Bulldogs emerged with a 126-92 victory on Jan. 11. |
