PCC Alumni Association to Launch New Speaker Series Feb. 23

Financial Advisor Henry McNeese to Discuss "15 Ways to Achieve Prosperity in 2009"

WINTERVILLEThe Pitt Community College Alumni Association will kick off a new speaker series this month to provide members of the community with valuable information that will help them improve their daily lives.

According to PCC Community Relations Coordinator John Moore, the series will feature experts touching on a wide variety of topics everything from the world of finance to lawn care.

The PCC Alumni Association has created the speaker series to provide the college with another avenue to meet the educational needs of the citizens we serve, Moore said. We want people to come out to these events and enjoy the fellowship they offer, hear from the experts we have lined up, ask those individuals questions relevant to their personal situations, and gain information they can use to make their lives better.

The first of four speakers scheduled for the Spring 2009 Semester is financial advisor Henry McNeese from Greenvilles AXA Advisors, LLC. McNeeses presentation, 15 Ways to Achieve Prosperity in 2009, will take place Feb. 23 and highlight ways for individuals to meet their financial goals.

Henrys probably one of the most qualified financial people in this area, Moore said. His credentials are impeccable, his financial background sound, and he knows this area of Eastern North Carolina. He just has great knowledge of how to help people better their lives financially.

This months program will begin with light refreshments at 6 p.m. in the Leslie Building, Room 143, on PCCs main campus. McNeeses presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end approximately 45 minutes later with a question-and-answer session.

Future topics for the PCC Alumni Association Speaker Series include lawn care advice from N.C. Agriculture Extension Agent Danny Lauderdale and boat safety tips from the N.C. Wildlife Commission.
