WINTERVILLEHard work in the classroom has paid off for a pair of Pitt Community College Radiography students who received scholarships last week.

Michele Albertson, a second-year student from South Mills, received $1,000 from Greenvilles Eastern Radiologist, Inc., for having the highest grade point average in her class.

Earlier this year, Albertson was one of 50 students to participate in PCCs Academic Excellence Awards Luncheon. She also received Greenville Morning Rotarys Sen. Ed N. Warren Scholarship in April.

Greenville resident Jack McNally, meanwhile, received $1,000 as the Paula Davis Scholarship recipient. The award is presented annually through the PCC Foundation on the basis of financial need.

Both Albertson and McNally are scheduled to graduate in May of 2009.
