WINTERVILLEPitt Community Colleges Student Government Association provided students and employees with a little relief from the classroom Tuesday with Summer Splash 08. The first-time event, which featured food and numerous games, was held in front of Pitts Ed and Joan Warren Building. Though the temperature soared to 100 degrees, a number of PCC students, faculty and staff participated in the activities. While some tried their hand at laser tag, others tried their best to remain upright on a mechanical bull. Summer Splash 08 also featured a dunking booth, which raised funds for the Karen Perry Memorial Scholarship Fund. Perry, a former SGA president at Pitt, died in a Feb. 20 car crash. A scholarship with the PCC Foundation was established in her memory.
