WINTERVILLEA pair of Pitt Community College Respiratory Therapy students and their instructor participated in a Habitat for Humanity project this month that resulted in a new home for a Greenville family. Angie Chapman and Kirsten Mitchell, both rising sophomores at PCC, took part in the 2008 Habitat for Humanity Home Builders Blitz along with Wendy Ayscue, clinical education director of the colleges Respiratory Therapy program. The three primarily assisted with food preparation on the first day of a scheduled week-long project to build a 1,400-square-foot house on Burrington Road. Construction crews accomplished their remarkable goal and presented the Armando Aroche Family with keys to their new home on Saturday. 06/09/2008 |
