Kristi Pipkin posted five of the Bulldogs' 13 aces against the Indians.
WINTERVILLEPitt Community College made the most of its opportunities against USC-Salkehatchie Saturday. The result was a 3-0 (30-21, 30-15, 30-17) win to go 17-0 in the Region X Conference.

The Bulldogs (28-8 overall) served aggressively throughout the match, finishing with 13 aces five by Kristi Pipkin.

If the other team cant return serve effectively, it creates free balls for us, PCC coach William Way said. We capitalized on those opportunities very well.

Way said Pitt had a little extra incentive to beat the Indians. The last time the two teams played, the Dawgs began the match two games down as a penalty for arriving late due to a scheduling miscommunication.

Everyone on the PCC squad played and contributed in Saturdays contest, Way said, adding that the victory was one step closer to where were trying to get to.

Casey Williams led the Bulldogs with nine kills. Jessica Joyner and Carissa Faragke finished with seven each. Faragke also recorded a team-high 11 digs against USC-Salkehatchie.
