SPARTANBURG, S.C.Pitt Community College continued its winning ways Friday, easing past Spartanburg Community College in three games to move into sole possession of first place in the Region X Conference. With Blue Ridge Community College handing Louisburg its first conference loss on the same night, PCCs 30-11, 30-24, 30-22 win over the Pioneers gave the Dawgs top spot in Region X at 6-0. As a team, PCC finished with 42 kills and committed just 13 errors. Jamie Morris led Pitt with 18 assists. Carissa Faragke added nine more. Way said his team turned in yet another solid defensive effort. Led by Lindsey Ulmer and Stephanie Sports with 17 each, the Bulldogs had six players finish in double digits in digs. We got it done everywhere, Way said. PCC improved to 15-4 overall with the victory, the teams sixth straight. 09/25/2006 |
