Printable Format

WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College wasted little time dismantling Central Carolina Community College Tuesday, needing about 45 minutes to take the match, 3-0.

Led by Kirsten Kelly’s eight kills, Pitt took the first set from the Cougars, 25-7. After winning set two, 25-9, the Bulldogs closed out the game with a 25-7 win in the third frame.

Jessica Sweers had a game-high 19 assists for PCC, which improved to 14-10 on the season. Natalie Salter added five aces for Pitt to go along with 11 digs.

Next up for Pitt is the Sea Devil Invitational hosted by Cape Fear Community College Oct. 16-17. The Dawgs are scheduled to play Brunswick Community College, Wallace State and CFCC, which will be the fourth time the two Region X Conference rivals will have played this season.
