According to Susan Nobles, executive director of the PCC Foundation, this year’s golf tournament netted nearly $5,000 more than the 2008 event thanks to sponsorships from local businesses and the 160 golfers who took part. “I would like to thank everyone who helped make this year’s PCC Foundation golf tournament successful,” Nobles said. “Proceeds from the event will enable the PCC Foundation to provide scholarship funding to an additional 40-50 students.” Held at the par-71, 6,568-yard Greenville Country Club, the 2009 PCC Foundation Golf Classic featured morning and afternoon team competitions, a putt-for-cash contest and several more drawings and giveaways throughout the day. Next year’s PCC Foundation tournament is scheduled for Oct. 7.
