Danielle Glancy and Sarah Fabish were surprised Sept. 25 when radiography instructors and PCC Foundation Executive Director Susan Nobles presented them with their awards during a class break. Glancy, a 2007 Northside High School graduate, received $1,285 from Greenville’s Eastern Radiologist, Inc., for having the highest grade point average in her class. The Pinetown native has a 3.79 gpa. Fabish, an Indiana native who now lives in Greenville, received $800 through the Paula R. Davis Scholarship, which is named for a former PCC radiography student who died from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident. Family members and classmates created the award to honor Davis and provide financial assistance to a worthy radiography student. Both Glancy and Fabish are scheduled to graduate from the radiography program in May 2010.
