Printable Format

WINTERVILLEThe Pitt Community College baseball program will hold an open tryout June 6 for unsigned, high school seniors interested in playing for the Bulldogs.

According to PCC Baseball Coach Tommy Eason, the tryout will take place at Pitts home field, Minges-Overton Baseball Complex, located on the backside of the PCC campus.

Eason said position players interested in trying out should report to the field at 10 a.m. Prospects should be prepared to run the 60-yard dash, take infield/outfield from their respective positions, and participate in batting practice.

Prospective pitchers must report to Minges-Overton at 11:30 a.m., while players interested in both fielding positions and pitching should report at 10 a.m., Eason said.

Those planning to try out at Pitt must bring all necessary baseball equipment in order to participate, and pitchers will throw to live batters.
