 PCC Respiratory Therapy student Casey Manning, center, was recently announced as the 2009 Sen. Ed N. Warren Scholarship winner. Manning accepted her award from the Greenville Morning Rotary Club during an event that was attended by Dr. Pamela Hilbert (left), PCC's VP of Academic Affairs and a Greenville Morning Rotary member, and Wendy Ayscue (right), Department Chair of PCC's Respiratory Therapy and Polysomnography programs. | GREENVILLE�Casey Manning, a Pitt Community College Respiratory Therapy student, was recently named the Greenville Morning Rotary Club�s 2009 Sen. Ed N. Warren Scholarship recipient. A Winterville resident, Manning is an active member of PCC�s Association of Respiratory Therapy students. She is a Dean�s List student with a 3.94 grade point average in her first year at Pitt. Manning, who was recognized by the PCC Foundation last month with an Academic Excellence Award, is also an active member of her church, where she is a youth leader, volunteer choir director and Sunday School teacher. Manning�s volunteerism also includes work with Creekside Elementary School, Children�s Miracle Network, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Feed the Children, and March of Dimes. As this year�s Warren Scholarship recipient, Manning will receive $1,000 toward her PCC education. Greenville Morning Rotary established the Warren Scholarship four years ago to honor former club member and N.C. State Sen. Ed N. Warren. The honor is presented annually to a deserving PCC student who embraces the club�s ideals through academic achievements, commitment to hard work, involvement in school activities and service to the community.
