Rashad Hatcher and his PCC teammates have raced out to a 20-1 record this season to earn an 11th-place ranking in Perfect Game Crosschecker's latest poll and a 15th-place showing in the latest NJCAA rankings.

WINTERVILLE—As Pitt Community College Baseball dropped a spot in one national poll, the Bulldogs climbed significantly in another after taking two of three from Louisburg College over the weekend to improve to 20-1 on the season.

In the latest NJCAA poll released Wednesday, the Bulldogs came in at #15 after being ranked 14th two weeks ago. The Bulldogs went 7-1 after the NJCAA’s first regular-season poll came out March 18, with the only loss coming to the Hurricanes on Sunday.

Two of PCC’s future Region X Conference opponents also appear in this week’s NJCAA poll. USC-Sumter is ranked 10th while Spartanburg Methodist is second, behind only Howard College (TX). The Bulldogs will visit USC-Sumter April 10-11 before hosting Spartanburg April 18-19.

All three Region X teams appear in the latest poll from Perfect Game Crosschecker. SMC (29-3) is second in the PGC poll while Sumter (27-5) comes in at #21. Pitt, ranked 23rd in PGC’s March 18th poll, leaped to 11th in the standings this week.
